The Crystal Lake Police sent an advisory regarding a helicopter flying over the city today.
The helicopter is being used to take aerial photos of "critical infrastructure/facilities in Crystal Lake."
"In an effort to better inventory critical infrastructure and facilities, aerial photography will be conducted in Crystal Lake. Depending on weather conditions, on Friday, June 14, a helicopter will be flown in Crystal Lake in order to capture images of infrastructure and facilities including public works facilities and schools," the advisory stated.
