Home Uninhabitable Following Weekend Fire In McHenry Co.
The blaze broke at about 1:40 a.m. Sunday in the 4900 block of West Maple Hill Road.
MCHENRY, IL — No one was injured after a weekend fire in McCullom Lake.
The blaze broke at about 1:40 a.m. Sunday in the 4900 block of West Maple Hill Road, according to a news release from the McHenry Township Fire Protection District. Fire crews fought the blaze at the one-story home and the fire was brought under control within 20 minutes.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and the house has been deemed uninhabitable. The American Red Cross is assisting residents of the home, according to the news release.
