Inmate Found Dead At McHenry County Jail: Authorities
The McHenry County Major Investigation Assistance Team was requested to investigate, authorities said.
WOODSTOCK, IL — An elderly inmate died Tuesday at the McHenry County jail, according to authorities.
The 74-year-old man was found unresponsive in a single booking cell around 4 p.m. at the McHenry County Adult Correctional Facility, authorities said.
Officers and Woodstock fire and rescue personnel attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.
