Island Lake Man Sentenced To 7 Years For Heroin Delivery

According to the McHenry County State's Attorney's office, the felony offense took place during May 2018.

ISLAND LAKE, IL — An Island Lake man has been sentenced to seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) after pleading guilty to the felony offense of delivery of heroin, Patrick Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announced Friday. According to the McHenry County State's Attorney's office, Richard Susinka, 38, was sentenced by Judge Michael Coppedge in the May 2018 case.

According to the state's attorney's office, Susinka is accused of selling a confidential informant five doses of heroin laced with fentanyl on May 10, 2018.

Members of the McHenry County Sheriff's Department investigated the case, and Brian Miller of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office was the prosecutor, according to the state's attorney's office.
