CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — Drivers are urged to avoid a portion of Lake Avenue on Thursday afternoon.

In an advisory message sent via Nixle early Thursday afternoon, city officials said Lake Avenue between Dole and Spruce lanes would be shut down for three to four hours. The reason for the closure is so ComEd can make repairs.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
