Man, 23, Critically Injured In Early Morning Crash In McHenry County
The single vehicle crash happened on McGuire Road in unincorporated Harvard, authorities said.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A 23-year-old Woodstock man is in critical condition following a single-vehicle crash near Harvard early Thursday, authorities said.
The collision happened at about 4:45 a.m. in the 17000 block of McGuire Road in unincorporated Harvard. A preliminary investigation shows a 2017 Chevrolet Sonic, driven by the Woodstock man, was headed west on McGuire Road when it crossed over the roadway and went off the road, hitting a tree, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
Weather conditions may have been a contributing factor in the crash, authorities said. The man was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

He was taken to Javon Be a Hospital-Riverside in Rockford in critical condition.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
