Man Accused Of Cutting Man With Utility Knife During Fight
The Crystal Lake man now faces charges following the altercation last month in Lake in the Hills.
LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — A 44-year-old Crystal Lake man faces charges for used a razor blade utility knife to cut another man during a fistfight in Lake in the Hills last month.
Zachary Krahn, 44, has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery involving great bodily harm in connection with the November 25 altercation, according to Shaw Local News Network. Police say Karen used the knife during a fistfight at about 12:30 a.m. at a home in Lake in the Hills.
A criminal complaint stated that Krahn cut the man's leg twice as well as his nose, which caused deep cuts that required medical attention, according to Shaw Local News Network.

David Giesinger, an assistant public defender, said the man had Krahn pinned to the ground when Krahn used his knife on him, claiming Krahn acted in self-defense.
