Man Trapped Under Tractor When Bridge Collapses: Fire Officials
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District was called to the incident in the 3200 block of North Route 47 in unincorporated Woodstock Sunday.

WOODSTOCK, IL — A man suffered serious injuries, including severe hypothermia, after he became trapped when a tractor and bridge collapsed near Woodstock Sunday afternoon.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District was called to the incident in the 3200 block of North Route 47 in unincorporated Woodstock at about 3 p.m. Sunday, according to a news release from the fire district.
Emergency crews found the man partially submerged underwater but conscious, according to the news release. Firefighters lifted the tractor to free him, and he was taken by helicopter to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

Emergency crews believe the man was trapped underwater for more than 30 minutes.
The tractor was removed from the creek following the incident, and a minor HAZMAT response was requested to handle fluids leaking from the tractor, according to the news release.
