Mark A. Francikowski, 73, of Crystal Lake

The memorial Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Crystal Lake, on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m.

Mark A. Francikowski. 73, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, Oct. 26, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mark was born July 19, 1940, in Milwaukee, the only child of John and Eugenia Francikowski.

On January 29, 1966, he married Virginia “Ginni” Brawley in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Mark was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His hobbies included golfing, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a loyal member of AA and throughout the years sponsored and counseled many.

He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his three daughters; Amy (Eric) Gulbrandsen of Algonquin, Angie (Kevin) Olson of Cary and Katie (Dan) Puckett of Crystal Lake, seven grandchildren; Griffin (Hannah) Francikowski, Paige Gulbrandsen, Lane Puckett, Sam Gulbrandsen, Clay Gulbrandsen, Porter Olson, Emma Olson, and a great grandson Callen Francikowski.

He was preceded by his wife in 2007, and also his parents.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Skaja Bachmann Funeral Home, 7715 W. Route 14, Crystal Lake on Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 4 until 9 p.m.

The memorial Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Crystal Lake, on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m.

Interment will be private.
