Mary Rose Mai, 88, of Crystal Lake passed away July 28, 2013, at home.
She was born October 15, 1924, in Chicago to Frank and Filmenia (Julio) Cioffo. In 1972 she married Robert M. Mai.
Mary, the first generation daughter of Italian immigrants, was an excellent cook and very proud of her extraordinary Italian dishes. She was a loving mother who also loved to entertain and socialize with her many friends. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
Loving wife of Robert, mother to Dennis Armbruster and his wife Anne (Peljo), daughter of Frank and Filemina Cioffo, sister to Rose Fabian, Matthew Cioffo, Patsy Cioffo and Michael Cioffo, aunt to Robert Fabian, Mark Fabian, Tim Fabian, Dawn Fabian, Brian Fabian, Filemena Staffa, Desiree Linkevitch, and Allison.
Services will be private. Arrangements handled by Querhammer and Flagg Funeral Home in Crystal Lake.
