McHenry-Area Home Uninhabitable Following Fire

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A home near McHenry is uninhabitable following a weekend blaze.

The fire broke out at about 7 p.m. Saturday at the home in the 2900 block of West Parkside Avenue in unincorporated McHenry, according to a news release from the McHenry Township Fire Protection District.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control within 20 minutes, and no one was injured in the blaze.

The fire is currently under investigation and a damage estimate is not available at this time. The home has been deemed uninhabitable.
