McHenry Co. Conservation District Hosts Candlelight Hike

The final candlelight hike of the season will be held at Prairieview Education Center in Crystal Lake.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The McHenry County Conservation District will host its final candlelight hike of the season next weekend in Crystal Lake.

Those stopping out can walk or cross-country ski on the trails at Silver Creek Conservation Area, 2112 Behan Road in Crystal Lake, as long as there is four inches of snow or more on the ground, according to MCCD officials. The candlelight ski and hike events will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, and Saturday, Feb. 10.

All ages are welcome and you must bring your own equipment.
