McHenry Co. Forest Preserve Offers Snowshoe Rentals

MCHENRY COUNTY,IL — Did you know that there is a McHenry County Conservation District site that rents snow shoes to local residents hoping to check out local trails?

You can rent a pair of snowshoes from the Lost Valley Visitor Center in Glacial Park for $10 per day when there is five inches of snow, or more, on the ground. Cash, check or credit card accepted. and divers’ license are required for deposit.

The snow shoes are available for rental from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and men’s, women’s, and children sizes are available on a first-come, first-served.
