McHenry Co. Judge Dies After Transport To Hospital From Courthouse

Associate judge Michael Coppedge died following paramedics responding to a medical call Monday morning at the courthouse in Woodstock.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — McHenry County Associate Judge Michael Coppedge died Monday morning after being transported from the county's courthouse in Woodstock to the hospital Monday.

Paramedics responded to the courthouse at about 8:22 a.m. Monday in response to a cardiac arrest call, Alex Vucha, communication specialist with the Woodstock Fire and Rescue District, told Shaw Local News Network.

Coppedge was taken to Northwestern Medicine Hospital in Woodstock and was pronounced dead just before 10 a.m.
