McHenry Co. Solar-Lit Trails Open For Hikes After Dusk
You can also cross-country ski on the two trails in Woodstock and Cary.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — There are two solar-lit trails open in McHenry County for those hoping to get out to enjoy some fresh winter air.
The trails are open after dusk at Pleasant Valley Forest Preserve, 3119 Pleasant Valley Road in Woodstock, and Hickory Grove Highlands, 500 Hickory Nut Grove Lane, Cary.
"With the sun going down so early, you can still get out on the trails everyday after dark," according to the McHenry County Conservation District website.
