McHenry Man Heads To Court For Seventh DUI Charge: Report

According to report, court records show six previous DUI charges for McHenry man.

MCHENRY, IL — A McHenry man is due in court Wednesday for what prosecutors report is a seventh DUI charge; this time a class X felony. According to the Northwest Herald, court records show officers arrested 45-year-old Danilo Romero-Morales, of the 3800 block of Waukegan Road, on Friday due to claims that he drove under the influence of alcohol July 28 in the area of Chapel Hill Road and Cobblestone Drive. The McHenry County Sheriff's Office reports Romero-Morales has been in the McHenry County Jail on a $150,000 bond since Friday, and would need to post 10 percent to be released.

The Northwest Herald said Romero-Morales was charged by a grand jury in December with the Class X DUI offense, in addition to a lower-level felony DUI charge and one count of driving with a suspended or revoked license. However, details about why his arrest came months after the reported July drunken driving incident remain unclear, according to the news report.
