Missing 18-Year-Old Dead; Body Found in Crystal Lake Park
McHenry County Coroner confirms body found in Canterbury Park is that of Adrian Salazar.
Adrian Salazar, 18, went missing on March 1 and Crystal Lake Police said he was in a despondent state of mind. They had been looking for the teen since and while they did not believe he was a danger to others, police did confirm that when Salazar left home, a gun also went missing from the home.
The day he went missing, area schools went on lockdown.
On Monday afternoon at 4:18 p.m., Crystal Lake Police were called to Canterbury Park for a report of a body with a handgun nearby. That body was identified as Adrian Salazar by McHenry County Coroner Anne Majewski Tuesday.

“The deceased young man has been identified as Adrian Salazar, 18, of Crystal Lake, Illinois,” the coroner said in a written release.
An autopsy is scheduled for late Tuesday morning.
