Missing 95-Year-Old Man Found Dead In Unincorporated McHenry
The 95-year-old man who was reported missing after leaving his McHenry home on foot was found dead on a nearby property Saturday.

MCHENRY, IL — The 95-year-old man who was reported missing after leaving his McHenry home on foot was found dead on a nearby property Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
Stanley E. Szczesny, 95, was last seen in the 2500 block of Scheid Lane in unincorporated McHenry early Friday morning around 3:30 a.m.
McHenry County Emergency Management Agency Search and Rescue crews located an elderly man deceased in the 2400 block of South River Road in unincorporated McHenry around 2:10 p.m. Saturday.

The McHenry County Coroner’s Office confirmed the body was Szczesny. Additional forensic testing will be conducted and no foul play is suspected, according to McHenry County Sheriff Sgt. Aimee Knop.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office said that a neighbor checked on Szczesny around 3:30 a.m. Friday and when the neighbor went to check on him again at around 8 p.m., he was no longer at the home.

The sheriff’s office said that search and rescue teams from McHenry County Emergency Management Agency, Kane County, Will County, Kendall County, Hanover Township, Palatine and KIWIS K-9 Search Team assisted with the search.
