Missing Person Found Dead In Fox River: Police
Police searched the Fox River after finding a jet ski overturned near Burton's Bridge Sunday afternoon.
PRAIRIE GROVE, IL — One person who was reported missing over the weekend was found dead in the Fox River in McHenry County.
Officials were called to the water rescue near Burton's Bridge and Route 176 at about 2 p.m. on Sunday and found an overturned jet ski in the middle of Fox River, according to a news release from the Nunda Rural Fire Protection District.
Crews searched the river for about an hour and found the missing person in the water, according to the news release. A second jet ski driver, who was traveling tandem with the first jet ski, declined any medical attention at the scene.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
