MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — The McHenry County Sheriff's office is asking residents and business employees to check their security cameras from this weekend, specifically after 9:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, for any signs of a missing 18-year-old male from Huntley. According to the sheriff's office, 18-year-old Aidan Beckford was last seen in the area of Nish Road and Highview Road in McHenry around 10 p.m. Friday.

The sheriff's office said when crews arrived to the area Friday, they learned Beckford had gotten into an argument with a family member before leaving the area. Beckford was last seen wearing beige shorts, a blue shirt, and was not wearing shoes, according to the sheriff's office.

On Friday, the sheriff's office launched an extensive search and included their marine unit, K9 unit, thermal imagers, and a drone, but did not find the teen, according to a release.

In the post, Jackie Schmuldt Beckford said her stepson left his cell phone at home and is "not in a good mental state."
