Objection Filed For Misspelling Of 'Republican' In Primary Race

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL —A hearing will be held next week regarding an objection that has been filed in the only contested McHenry County Board primary race.

County board member Eric Hendricks, a Republican from Lake in the Hills, has filed the objection to the candidacy of his primary opponent, Bob Nowak, a Republican from Algonquin, according to Shaw Local News Network. Both are running in the primary election for the 3rd District seat on the county board.

In the objection, Hendricks notes Nowak filed to run as a member of the "Republian Party" — stating that no such party exists, according to the article.

A hearing regarding the objection will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, and the primary election is slated to take place on March 19.
