More than a couple hundred residents turned out Tuesday night for National Night Out at Three Oaks Recreation Area in Crystal Lake.
The Crystal Lake Police Department hosted the annual event.
Activities included free face painting, police and fire/ rescue vehicles on display, a police K-9 demonstration, Crystal Lake Police Department’s Emergency Services Team display, IL/ WI Search and Rescue K-9 demonstration, "Glowby" the Bubbler and kids games.
Kimberly Shipbaugh, public information officer for the Crystal Lake Police Department, was pleased with the attendance. She estimated more than a couple hundred people had arrived between 5 and 8 PM.
