Pedestrian Hit By Truck, Killed In Fox Lake
The Lake County Coroner's Office has identified the man as Troy Dowsett, of Portsmouth, Virginia.
FOX LAKE, IL — A 28-year-old man was killed after being struck by a pick-up truck in Fox Lake early Sunday.
The Lake County Coroner's Office has identified the man as Troy Dowsett, of Portsmouth, Virginia, according to a news release from the coroner's office.
The Fox Lake Police Department and Fox Lake Fire Protection District were called to the scene of the collision in the area of Route 59 and Grand Avenue in Fox Lake at about 2 a.m. Sunday.

When they arrived they found Dowsett in the roadway. He was taken to Condell Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Preliminary results from an autopsy show Dowsett died from blunt force injuries suffered as a result of a crash. The cause of crash remains under investigation by the Fox Lake Police Department and MCAT.
