Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Train in Woodstock
The crash occurred just after 1 p.m. Thursday.
A pedestrian was stuck and killed by a Metra train Thursday afternoon in Woodstock.
The train was part of the Union Pacific Northwest Line and the crash occurred west of the Lily Pond Road crossing in Woodstock, the Northwest Herald is reporting.
This is the second fatal accident in that area in the last couple weeks. On Feb. 25, a woman was killed at the Lily Pond crossing in a car-versus-train accident.
