Pickleball Updates from the Crystal Lake Park District

Drop-In Pickleball, Outdoor Pickleball Courts, Summer Pickleball Lessons

Pickleball is a game resembling tennis in which players use paddles to hit a perforated plastic ball over a net. The Racket Club, a Crystal Lake Park District tennis facility is offering several options for drop-in play:

Weekly Drop-In Pickleball (September-May)

Wednesday, 7:30-9:30 am, Noon-2 pm

Friday, 1-4 pm

Saturday, 2-4 pm

Equipment is available to use. The fee is $4 members and $8 non-members. The Racket Club facility located at 9101 S. Route 31, Algonquin. For more information call 847-658-5688.

Weekly Drop-In Drill N’ Play Clinic

Wednesdays, 2-3:30 pm

$10 Racket Club members, $15 non-members

Crystal Lake Park District Outdoor Pickleball Courts

The courts below are open for the season. All courts are available for free, public play, dawn -dusk, 7 days.

Spoerl Park, 7610 Pingree Rd, Crystal Lake, features six dedicated, outdoor Pickleball courts.

Feinberg Park, 701 Juniper Lane, Crystal Lake

Ken Bird Park, 1800 Thomasville Lane, Crystal Lake

Wyndwood Park, 4201 Wyndwood Drive, Crystal Lake

Veteran Acres, 431 N. Walkup, Crystal Lake

The Racket Club staff will also be offering Pickleball Lessons at Spoerl Park on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1-2:30 pm and 2:30-4 pm this summer. Registration opens May 2. View information and link to online registration at crystallakeparks.org
