The city approved property use agreements for the wakeboard park and paddle board rental facility through 2055.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The Board House at Three Oaks Recreation Area has no plans of going anywhere.
In 2015, the Board House, which is run by Alpine Accessories, first entered into a ten-year property use agreement with the city to run the stand-up paddle board facility on the south lake at Three Oaks, according to city documents. The agreement allowed for two additional five-year extensions, which will mean the current lease will be up in 2035.
This past week, the city approved a 20-year extension to the property use agreement, which would allow the business to run at Three Oaks through March 2055. Board House officials told city officials the were interested "in securing a long-term commitment with the city to provide financial stability for the operation," according to city documents.
