Halloween 2024: Crystal Lake, Cary Trick-Or-Treat Hours, Forecast
Will it rain on Halloween? Weather officials are predicting rain early in the day but not during trick-or-treat hours.
CRYSTAL LAKE AND CARY, IL — It is finally almost time to get dressed up and get out to trick-or-treat in town.
For those heading out with their kiddos to trick-or-treat, both Crystal Lake and Cary are suggesting candy be handed out between 3 to 7 p.m. on Halloween. Here is a look at other area towns suggested trick-or-treat times:
- Algonquin: 3 to 7 p.m.
- Barrington: 3 to 7 p.m.
- Barrington Hills: 3 to 7 p.m.
- Fox River Grove: 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.
- Huntley: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the square and from 4 to 8 p.m. across the community
- Lake in the Hills: 2 to 8 p.m.
- Lake Barrington: 3 to 8 p.m.
- Lake Zurich: 3 to 8 p.m.
- McHenry: 4 to 8 p.m.

Yes, there is rain in the forecast on Halloween in Crystal Lake and Cary. But it does not look like it should fall during trick-or-treat hours, according to weather forecasters.

According to the National Weather Service, rain is most likely 1 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Halloween. Meanwhile, temperatures should be comfortable during most of the scheduled trick-or-treat hours, though you may need long sleeves as evening approaches, with 61 degrees predicted at 1 p.m., 54 degrees at 4 p.m. and 48 degrees by 7 p.m.
