Ruth Steuer, 83, of Cary

Ruth Steuer, age 83, of Cary passed away August 10, 2013, at her home. 

She was born February 23, 1930 in Chicago, the daughter of Norman and Rose Young. 

She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. She was also a volunteer for Helping Paws.

Ruth is survived by three children: Viki (Brian) Dettmann, Skip Steuer, and Jim (Tammy) Steuer; three grandchildren, Roy Steuer, Joy (Jeremy) Ried and Jeff Steuer; two great-grandchildren, Anthony Steuer and Mitchell Ried; a  brother Jack Young; and a sister Alice Vick.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Steuer, Sr., and a son Clifford Steuer, Jr.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at the Kahle Moore Funeral Home, 43 Silver Lake Rd., Cary.

Funeral service is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday Aug. 14, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2107 Three Oaks Rd., Cary.

Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Park.
