Santa Spotted Kayaking Down Fox River: Report
Residents along the Fox River got a nice surprise this Christmas, with Santa kayaking down the river in unseasonably warm weather.
MCHENRY, IL — McHenry residents got a view of Santa this Christmas, but not where one might expect. He wasn't in a sleigh, nor on a roof, but in a kayak cruising down the Fox River, according to a Northwest Herald report.
"Some things get wet," Old St. Nick told the Herald, noting his outfit got wet last time he took on the 20-year on-and-off tradition. He headed down from his residence in McHenry to the Johnsburg Bridge
It was a good day for kayaking. The temperature went as high as around 60 degrees in the area, so the reindeer would have been too hot anyway. The region saw near record high temperatures.
