Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for McHenry County

The National Weather Service in Chicago at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday issued a severe thunderstorm warning for McHenry County.

The warning is for southern Boone County and western McHenry County until 5:45 p.m.

At 4:43 p.m. a line of severe thunderstomrs was located along a line extending from Cherry Valley near Rockford to Kirkland. The line is moving northeast at 30 mph.

Hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph are possible.
