Teen Busted Masturbating In Car Stares At Woman, Follows Her: Police

Police were called Tuesday evening to the Aldi in McHenry after a woman reported a man masturbating in his car in the parking lot stared at her and followed her.

A woman, who asked to remain anonymous, told Lake and McHenry County Scanner she was loading groceries into her car in the parking lot of the Aldi, 2226 North Richmond Road in McHenry, around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.

“I caught a man masturbating in his car next to me while staring at me. When I pulled out of the parking lot he began to follow me,” she said.

McHenry Deputy Police Chief Thomas Walsh said police officers responded to the woman’s 911 call and began to investigate. Using the vehicle description and license plate information, officers located the subject a short time later.

“The subject reported to officers he had been parked near Aldi and [was] watching a video on his phone,” Walsh said.

The 19-year-old McHenry man was issued a citation for public indecency and released with a court date of December 9. The woman told Lake and McHenry County Scanner that she was sharing what happened in an effort to warn members of the community.
