Juvenile Faces DUI Charge Following Crash Near Cary-Grove High
The collision happened Monday afternoon.
CARY, IL — A juvenile faces a driving while under the influence charge after causing a three-vehicle collision near Cary-Grove High School Monday afternoon.
The collision happened at about 3 p.m. at the intersection of Margaret Terrace and First Street in Cary, said Scott Naydenoff, deputy chief of support services for the Cary Police Department.
Police say a Jeep Wrangler headed west on Margaret Terrace failed got yield the right of way at the intersection and was hit by a vehicle driving south on First Street, Naydenoff said. Both of the vehicles hit a third vehicle at the intersection.

The driver of the Wrangler was taken to the hospital to be evaluated and treated for minor injuries. He has since been charged with driving while under the influence. He also was cited for other traffic violations and for possession and consumption of alcohol by a minor.
