Is the nominee considered an “essential worker”?: Yes

What does the nominee do for work?: She works at Mariano’s in the Meat Dept.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?: There is nothing Mary wouldn’t do for her family, friends, neighbors & strangers. So many stories to tell, like the time she drove around town looking for a homeless man she had seen, to bring food to him & his dog. Or the countless times she brings supported to neighbors in need. And now, during this crisis, working in the meat department, serving people every day, all covered up with protective gear so all you can see are her beautiful, smiling eyes. There is no one else like her. Ask anyone!

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?: She is the MOST giving, caring person you will ever know. If you are elderly or live alone, she’s making you an Easter basket! Or sending over food. There is no one like her.

Thank you, Mary!
