Thieves Steal Mail, Burglarize Cars In Prairie Grove: Police
The Prairie Grove Police Department is investigating the thefts, which were reported last week.
PRAIRIE GROVE, IL — Police in Prairie Grove are reminding residents to be cautious after receiving several reports of car burglaries and theft of mail from mailboxes last week.
Authorities believe suspects swiped mail and items from cars between 9 and 11 p.m. on Dec. 14. The people involved in the crimes were in a dark-colored sports utility vehicle and the thefts happened in multiple parts of the village, according to a post on the village of Prairie Grove Facebook page.
Residents are reminded to lock their car doors, and police are asking anyone with information, or video footage that may aid police in their investigation, to call the Prairie Grove Police Department at 815-455-3918.
