Townhome Uninhabitable Following Blaze
The fire broke out at a townhome complex in Wonder Lake on Wednesday.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — No one was injured in a fire that broke out at a townhome complex in Wonder Lake on Wednesday.
The McHenry Township Fire Protection District was called to the townhome, which is located in the 2100 block of Sassafras Way in Wonder Lake, at about 12 p.m. When fire crews arrived, they found fire venting from the upper floor windows of the three-story, multi-family dwelling.
The occupants of the townhome were home at the time of the blaze and were able to escape without injury, according to a news release from the McHenry Township Fire Protection District. The townhome has since been deemed uninhabitable.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
