3 Kids Hurt As Van Crashes Into Dugout During Baseball Game In Woodstock
Three juveniles in the van were injured but no other injuries were reported in the collision at Emricson Park.

WOODSTOCK, IL — Three juveniles were injured when the van they were in collided with a baseball dugout in Woodstock Saturday morning. There were about 12 teenage baseball players in the dugout, which was protected by a concrete structure, and none of them were injured.
The collision happened at Emricson Park, 900 W. South St., at about 9:45 a.m. Saturday, according to a news release from the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District.
The van, with four juveniles inside, traveled down a hill before running into the dugout at "Dream Field" while a game was in progress, according to the news release. Several people watching the game were alerted to the situation, got out of the path of the vehicle, and were not injured.

Three of the juveniles in the van were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries that ranged in severity from minor to moderate.
Representatives from the city of Woodstock and the public works department responded to the scene and are evaluating the structural integrity of the dugout. The Woodstock Police Department is investigating the crash.
