Video Of City Employees Removing McHenry Co. Woman's Garden Goes Viral
She says she had no idea they were going to do it. But officials say they tried to work with the woman, according to media reports.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A viral video posted by a Marengo woman, which has garnered more than 2.4 million page views, shows public work employees removing plants from around her property — a move she says she was blindsided by.
But city officials in Marengo say they had tried to work with Konni Vukelic to address the plantings, which they say caused sight-line problems. The plants and tress were installed on the edge of the street in the city-controlled right-of-way, Shaw Local News Network is reporting.
The video Vukelic posted, which the Marengo public works employees removing the plantings, has brought in more than 2.4 million views after it was reshared on X in recent days.

Shaw Local News Network is reporting city officials in Marengo said they tried to work with Vukelic between July 16 to August 20 to deal with the issues.
