Weather this Week: First Snowflakes Could Fall Tuesday, Temperatures in the 40s

Weather should be chilly, with temperatures lurking around the 40-degree mark.

Brrrr.

It looks like those warm, summer-like days have departed, and fall has finally arrived.

This week, temperatures are expected to hover in the 40 degrees mark. The high temperature for today (Monday) is expected to top off at 44 degrees, and the sun could finally break through the clouds.

By Tuesday, showers may move in during the afternoon, and McHenry County could see the first snowflakes of the season later that day, according to accuweather.com.

Low temps for the week could dip below 30 degrees.

Friday promises to bring more sunshine to the area, but temps will remain in the 40s.
