The gates open at 5:00, and a BBQ dinner is served from 5:30 to 7:00. During that time, Rick Monroe” will be entertaining.

Second band, starting around 9 p.m., is DOT DOT DOT. The band has performed over 700 shows and sold thousands of CDs – all without record label support. The co-ed quintet may be familiar to some as finalists on FOX TV’s “American Idol” spin-off show, “The Next Great American Band,” during its 2007 season.

Last, but not least, "Hans and the Hormones" have the honor of closing Barndance. These guys have been here every year and are local favorites.

More information here.

LITH Summer Concert: "The Scott DuBose Band"

7 p.m. Saturday, July 20. LITH Village Hall, 600 Harvest Gate.

Lake in the Hills is bringing a little bit of "Ravinia" to town this Saturday.

Pack up the family, the folding chairs, the bug spray, and head over to Village Hall for an evening of fun and music. Starting at 6 p.m., The People for Parks Foundation will be selling a variety of beverages to wash down the tasty dishes participants can purchase from Jersey Mikes and the Gourmet Kernel.

The Funtasticamp Staff will lead family and kids activities. At 7 p.m. the band will begin on the main stage as well as some entertainment for the kids on the back lawn. In case of inclement weather, concerts will be held in the Village Hall multipurpose room.

Entertainers include Roving Magician, Brian Kennedy, and The Scott DuBose Band. While the kids are mystified by the variety of tricks and illusions, the main stage will host one of the biggest up and coming country/rock singers in the country.

DuBose's music is a blend of everything from rock and rap to country and western and if he had to use words to describe his music, he would call it Ranch Rock.

Cary's Farmer's Market

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sundays. Located in the back Metra parking lot near the intersection of High Road and West Main Street.

The Cary Farmers Market has opened for the season. Check out the great list of returning and new members on the chamber website at www.carygrovechamber.com, or visit the Cary Farmers Market Facebook page.
