WinterFest Held At Volo Bog This Weekend
Weather permitting, outdoor activities at the Sunday festival will include a snow-sculpting contest, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
INGLESIDE, IL — If you have not gotten the chance to stop out to Volo Bog, this weekend may be the perfect time to do so.
WinterFest will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at Volo Bog State Natural Area, 28478 W. Brandenburg Road in Ingleside. The fest will include indoor activities, live music from Harper's Back Porch Revue, kids crafts and snacks.
Weather permitting, outdoor activities will include tours of the bog, hiking, a snow-sculpting contest, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

The festival is free for kids and there is a $10 suggested donation for adults.
