An investigation showed a BMW 3 Series and a Toyota Camry were stopped on Route 14 at the traffic light.

The two vehicles were waiting to turn left onto Route 22.
A Honda Civic traveling at a high rate of speed rear-ended the BMW, which was pushed into the Toyota, Waitrovich said.
The female driver of the Honda, who was the sole occupant of her car, was unconscious and not breathing.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office told Lake and McHenry County Scanner that the woman was identified as Kate Allison, 30, of Schaumburg.
Other motorists stopped and provided medical aid to Allison before first responders arrived, Waitrovich said.
A LifeNet medical helicopter was placed on standby but later canceled.
Paramedics transported Allison to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington where she was pronounced dead.
Waitrovich said there was no indication the woman suffered a medical emergency and the high rate of speed is a contributing cause.
The occupants of the other two vehicles involved were evaluated by paramedics but declined transport to the hospital, Waitrovich added.
The Cary Police Department assisted the Fox River Grove Police Department with traffic control until the crash was cleared.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office performed an autopsy on Allison on Friday. She died as a result of blunt force injuries from the collision.
