Woman Suffers Heart Attack After Crash, Dies: Coroner

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A 68-year-old woman died following a collision in Crystal Lake on Dec. 23, police said.

The collision happened at 4447 Northwest Highway in Crystal Lake, according to a news release from McHenry County Coroner's. Authorities say the driver, Andrea Papapitro, was conscious at the scene but went into cardiac arrest and was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The coroner's office has not yet ruled on Papapitro's final cause of death, and the incident remains under investigation.
