Woman Wanted In Crystal Lake Gas Station Attempted Armed Robbery
Police were told that a woman entered the store in the 200 block of N. Route 31, took out a gun and demanded money from the cashier.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — Crystal Lake police are investigating after a woman attempted an armed robbery Thursday at the Crystal Lake Mobil in the 200 block of N. Route 31. According to a release from the Crystal Lake Police Department, officers were called at 9:18 p.m. Thursday to the business for a reported attempted armed robbery, and were told when they arrived that a woman entered the store, took out a gun and demanded money from the cashier.
According to the release, the woman was last seen running north from the store without any money or merchandise once an alarm went off. She's described as being between 20 and 30 years old, white, 5'5 and 200 pounds, the release said, according to witnesses. No injuries were reported.
