Chain Store In Darien Shuts Doors
The same is the case for all the chain's stores, even though its website and phone message haven't caught up.

DARIEN, IL – The Joann Fabrics and Crafts store in Darien closed its doors recently.
All the chain's stores were to be closed by the end of May. That was months after the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
The Darien store was part of the Chestnut Court shopping center southeast of 75th Street and Lemont Road, next to Downers Grove.

The closure is another hit to the shopping center, which was already largely vacant. Ross Dress for Less is now the biggest remaining store at Chestnut Court. An overhaul of the shopping center is planned.

The corporation's website still includes store listings, giving phone numbers and hours. The Darien store's phone message indicates the store is still active, telling callers to dial zero to reach a local team member. No one answers.
According to the database, 16 stores were in Illinois.
On the Joann website, the chain states, "We're stitching something new behind the scenes, and we can't wait to share what's next. Stay tuned for exciting news about the future of Joann."
