According to the report, the woman was headed south on Fairview at 75th, when an eastbound Darien squad car struck her. The officer, who had her emergency lights and sirens on, was responding to a house fire that resulted in a person's death.
The woman on Fairview said she heard the sirens but saw a green light and proceeded through the intersection, police said.

The officer noted the lights and sirens, but didn't remember much about the crash, police said.
The woman on Fairview received a citation for violating Scott's Law, which requires drivers to move over and slow down for emergency vehicles with their emergency lights on, police said.
