Darien Woman Faces Felony Burglary Charge: Cops
In another case, a Darien woman was arrested on domestic battery charges, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their regular blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:
Burglary, retail theft
- Kerry Kupferschmidt, 49, of the 2200 block of Hamilton Lane in Darien, was arrested about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday on felony burglary and retail theft charges. Police said the woman put several bottles of liquor in her pants. She was given a court date.

- A 37-year-old Darien woman who lives in the 7600 block of Sussex Creek Drive was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at her home on two counts of domestic battery and one count of interfering with the reporting of domestic violence. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Retail theft
- A person stole a case of alcohol worth $563 about 8 p.m. Sunday at Walgreens, 7516 Cass Ave. An employee said an alarm from the back emergency door alerted her. The theft was caught on video.
Shed burglary

- An officer was called around 2 p.m. Tuesday about a theft in the 8000 block of Farmingdale Drive. A resident said he noticed his shed door slightly open. He then saw that his Craftsman snowblower had been stolen.
