Gabriella DiDiana, from Darien Illinois, has been chosen as 1 of 500 worldwide to celebrate individuals with Down syndrome. She graduated from Downers Grove South in 2020 and is now pursuing work and college opportunities. She is a multiple time gold medalist for Special Olympics in swimming, basketball and track.On September 7th 2024, she will be featured in a video shown in Times Square through the National Down Syndrome Society. NDSS will be live-streaming it on their Facebook page from 9:30 a.m - 10:30 a.m ET followed by their Buddy Walk. Gabriella is expected to be shown between 9:40 a.m - 9:50 a.m ET.
