Hinsdale South Student Dies, Principal Announces

HINSDALE, IL – A Hinsdale South High School student died Thursday morning, the principal announced Friday.

In an email titled, "Sad News to Share," Principal Kari Peronto said, "On behalf of our entire community, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family during this very difficult time."

She added, "Please understand that, at this time, we are respecting the privacy of the family and are not able to share the name or details."

Peronto said students may experience a range of emotions in response to the loss.

She said the student services department is ready to help. She also provided students with online resources.
