Man Found Dead of Gunshot Wound Following Barricade Situation: Darien Police

A man who barricaded himself in his Darien Club Drive home Thursday morning was found dead when police broke into the house around 11 a.m.

The man, who was 51 years old, had locked himself inside the house with his family’s dog after his wife and two children left that morning, the Pioneer Press reported.

When officers entered the family’s home, they found the man deceased. He had suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
