Thief Swipes Cubs Flag, Walmart Loses a TV: Darien Police Blotter
One resident was very unhappy someone messed with his baseball gear.
The following items were taken from the Darien police blotter throughout the past week.
Retail theft
- At 1:48 p.m. Jan. 16, two men were seen stealing a television from the Walmart at 2189 75th St. They removed the TV, walked out with it and were last seen running toward a Ford SUV in the parking lot. Police haven't caught them yet.

- Apriyana Jackson, 23, of Chicago was arrested Jan. 17 on multiple warrants. He had allegedly given a police officer a false name after being stopped, and was found and taken into the police department at 11:40 a.m. that day. He was released with a court date of Feb. 28 at the DuPage Judicial Center.
Theft
- A Darien resident reported that sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Jan. 18, someone had stolen their Cubs flag from their home in the 1500 block of Norman Drive. The estimated loss if $50.
Traffic citation

- Marko Martinovski, 25, of Darien was stopped Jan. 19 at Farmingdale Drive, south of 75th Street. He was found to have a suspended vehicle registration, not having insurance and driving with a suspended license. He was released and will have a court date in Downers Grove.
